Built to Last | Endurance Is the Proof of Calling
Matthew 7:24–25 says, “The wise man built his house upon a rock… and it fell not.” You don’t really know what you’re made of until life starts shaking. Faith that only works in comfort was never built to last. Real faith stands when the storm starts shouting.
Jesus didn’t promise an easy forecast—He promised a firm foundation. The rain, wind, and floods came to both houses. The difference wasn’t location; it was foundation. Storms don’t destroy the faithful—they reveal what was built in silence.
Endurance isn’t just survival; it’s strength under stress. Job lost everything, but he stayed planted—and when the dust cleared, God rebuilt him double. That’s what happens when your faith isn’t rented; it’s rooted. God’s trying to build something in you that doesn’t collapse every time pressure shows up.
Hell sends storms to scare you off. Heaven allows them to prove you’re ready for more. What’s tested is what’s trusted. So when everything shakes this week, pause and remind yourself, “I’m built for this.” Because what’s founded on Christ doesn’t fall—it fortifies.
You’re not breaking down; you’re being built up. Endurance isn’t weakness—it’s worship that refuses to quit. Don’t run. Don’t retreat. Stand strong. You’re built to last.
