Don’t Compromise | Authority Stays Elevated

God does not govern from ground level. He rules from elevation.
Colossians 3:2 tells us to set our minds on things above, not on things on the earth. That instruction isn’t about escape. It’s about position. You’re not climbing into authority. In Christ, you’ve already been raised. The decision now is where your attention lives.
Midweek pressure gets loud. Conversations multiply. Opinions get heavier. This is where many leaders descend into noise and call it responsibility. But authority is sustained by altitude, not volume. If your mind drops, your reactions follow. If your posture lowers, clarity leaks.
Spiritual growth means guarding focus. Not every issue deserves engagement. Not every comment deserves response. Mature Christian leadership learns selective attention. Influence is not lost by silence. It’s often protected by it.
Without Christ, elevation feels detached. In Him, it is alignment. You are seated with Christ. You rule from that position. You don’t argue from the basement when you’ve been given the house.
So today, refuse one unnecessary distraction. Guard your focus before you guard your schedule. Stay above the noise. Authority leaks when attention drops.
